Applying for MGSC
As a government secondary schools applicants must complete the Department of Education and Training Application for Year 7 Placement 2021. Links to the Year 6 to Year 7 transition information pack are on our website. https://mgsc.vic.edu.au/enrolment/year-7-enrolment/
An out-of-zone application form is not required. In past years there has been a purple form that was distributed at the Open Night. There is no separate form to return making it easier for the schools and families.
Families do need to put MGSC as their first preference in section 4B.
A reminder to non-government primary schools, families have the option to return the DET application form directly to MGSC by Friday 28 May. Use email email@example.com
Enhancement Program – for girls seeking a greater challenge
Our website has a presentation from the Director of Enhancement, Sam Haines, which outlines what the program is about, what it offers and who should apply. The application process is also explained.
We would appreciate making families considering the Enhancement Program being made aware that the application timeline has not been extended.
Enhancement Program applicants must register for the Edutest by Monday 11 May to participate in the online testing on Saturday 16 May.
Questions and enquiries are welcome. Families can contact Sam Haines at firstname.lastname@example.org
